Infections in patients with impaired defence mechanisms

Renal and urinary tract infections

Respiratory tract infections, particularly pneumonia, and ear, nose and throat infections

Genital infections, including gonorrhoea

Perioperative prophylaxis of infections

Drug Dose Information

The recommended adult dosage is 1.5 g -3 g in every six hours.

Paediatric : 50-75mg/kg given once a day. The total daily dose should be not exceed 1gram.
