Drug Dose Information

Adult:
PO Chronic gastritis; Peptic ulcer:
1 g 4 times/day for 4-8 wk, up to 12 wk if needed
Maintenance: 1 g twice daily to prevent the recurrence of duodenal ulcers. Max: 8 g/day.

Prophylaxis of GI haemorrhage from stress ulceration 1 g 6 times/day. Up to 8 g /day.

Systemic aluminum toxicity may occur in patients with chronic renal failure
